Day 4: Leading with Purpose—Building a Legacy
Every act of leadership we undertake should reflect our purpose and faith in God. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us to do everything "as if we were doing it for the Lord." This means that every decision and every interaction with those we meet should be motivated by a greater purpose: to serve God and build a lasting impact that inspires others to know God and live according to His will.
Consider the life of Nehemiah, a man of integrity and righteousness before God, motivated by a strong divine purpose: to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 2:17-18). Despite facing opposition, he remained faithful to the task God had given him. His leadership extended beyond guiding volunteers in the physical rebuilding of the city walls. Nehemiah led by providing the people of God with an example of resilience and integrity, faith, and obedience. Like Nehemiah, we are called to lead with a clear purpose, leaving a divine legacy for those who follow us.
Reflective Question: How are your daily decisions building a legacy of faith for those around you? How can your actions align better with the purpose God has for you?
Prayer: Lord, I want to lead and impact the lives of those around me with a purpose that reflects Your will. Help me build a legacy that inspires others to know You and do Your will, demonstrating my faith in the decisions I make every day. Amen.
