East + West

Sometimes it’s hard for me to grasp how God could know all of my imperfection, weakness, and mistakes, and still love me unconditionally. Our song East + West says:

As far as east is from the west

Your love it's infinite, unlimited, Your love

It's so much different from the rest, Your love

Trying to conceptualize God’s infinite love always blows me away. Maybe it’s my experience of being human, but it’s hard to overlook imperfections or forget ways I’ve been wronged, even from those I love the most. How God does this for all of us is truly beautiful. I love the insight this verse gives us into God’s character. Not only does He not treat us as our sins deserve, He does the opposite. He removes our sin and loves us so wholly that the possibilities of our future are as infinite and unlimited as His love. Oh, how far we've come Can you measure the distance? Living in God’s grace has given me the permission to run free. To not be paralyzed by the mistakes I’ve made, but to live in the freedom that God has given me to leave the past behind and move forward. Nothing compares to the love I’ve found in relationship to Jesus. My life is wilder and more beautiful than I could have ever dreamed because I’m living a life I dreamed with God.

CALL TO ACTION

Take time to reflect. Are there any areas of your life where you may be paralyzed? Spend time in prayer surrendering these things to God, and asking Him to help you move in the freedom He’s given you.

PRAYER

God, thank You for how You love me. Thank You for being constant and unwavering, even when I feel I don’t deserve it. I pray that in my moments of doubt, You continue to remind me that Your love for me is infinite regardless of circumstance. Amen. –Ciella Zepeda
