What to Pray for Your Children

DAY 10 OF 16

What to pray for your children

Practical guidelines (7)

Pray that they will witness with boldness. “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes – the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in His sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, ‘It is through faith that a righteous person has life’” (Romans 1:16- 17). “Now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, Your servants, great boldness in preaching Your Word” (Acts 4:29).

Pray for a growing and deeper intimacy with God. “I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead. I want to suffer with Him, sharing in His death, so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead! I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me” (Philippians 3:10-12).

Pray for tender hearts that will notice the needs of this world. “Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).
