DREAMING BIG

“’For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’” – Jeremiah 29:11

God has a specific plan for your life! He’s had that plan in place for a really long time, way before you were even born. He’s made you JUST THE WAY YOU ARE for a reason. He’s placed you where you are for a reason. He’s put you in this time in history for a reason. He desires good things for you, and you can put your hope in Him!

When you walk in obedience to God’s plans for your life, you will see His blessings on your life. He will speak to you and direct you, if you take the time to listen.

Now don’t think He doesn’t want us involved with the plans for our life. He’s put certain gifts and desires in you for a reason, and He wants us to dream with Him. He wants to use you to spread His love, and it’s quite the honor that He uses us! What is it that you’re passionate about? What makes your heart come alive? What are you good at? Think about those things and start asking God how He wants to use that to share His love and help those around you.

God does desire good things for you, He has dreams for you, and He wants us to dream big with Him, but it’s important to remember that sometimes part of that dream will include some hardships or suffering. When the hard times hit, it’s easy to think God has abandoned you, but don’t believe that lie. He’s there with you even in the suffering. God will use the hardships to develop character and perseverance in your life. 

God is a big God, and He has big plans for your life! When I look back at my life, I can’t believe the things He’s done in and through me. It makes me excited for the future, and I know that no matter where He leads, I can trust in His big dream for my life!

Action Step: 
Do you have a dream for your life? If you do, think of some practical steps you’ll need to take to see that dream happen! Talk to a friend or a person you trust about your dream. If you don’t have a dream for your life yet, just ask God to help you, and remember He wants us to dream big. 
 
My Prayer:
Jesus, thank You so much that You have a big dream for my life and that I can dream big alongside with You. I know You’ve made me who I am for a reason, and I thank You for that! Help me to see Your dream for my life, step by step, and help me to walk in obedience wherever You lead me! Amen.
