“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.  And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another,” -- Hebrews 10:24-25

I think it’s safe to say that you probably made some new friends at RAVE and got to know the friends you went with even better! Having a circle of friends around you who believe the same things as you and who will encourage you is so important! God made us to be in relationship with Him and to be in relationships with other believers. It’s crucial to a healthy life.

Staying connected keeps us strong. Think about a fire. If you take one of the burning coals from a fire and leave it by itself, it’ll soon burn out and lose the fire within it. But if you keep the coals all together, the fire remains and will ignite more fire! It’s the same with us. If we become isolated and lonely, it’s so easy to lose that fire and passion inside of you. But if we stay connected with our friends and intentionally encourage each other, that fire will only grow and spread to those around us! 

There’s so many ways you can stay connected with the new friends you made at RAVE, and make even more! Coming on Sunday nights at 6 pm to SOAR is a great way to keep up with your friends, spend time in worship, and learn more from the Bible! We also have TREK groups which are a great place to have fun, hang out with friends, and encourage each other. Really, TREK groups become a new family for you.

Make it a priority to stay connected with other friends who know Jesus. Whether you realize it or not, you become like the people you are around. Someone once told me, “Show me your friends, and I’ll show you your future.” 

Action Step: 
Get together with some of the friends you made at RAVE this week and discuss the experiences you had and how God has impacted your life! If you haven’t signed up to join a TREK group yet, be sure to do that. Even if you can’t join a TREK group, find some other believers close to you and make it a priority to get together on a regular basis!

My Prayer:
Jesus, thank You that there’s other friends who know You and love You that I can spend time with! Thank You for a new family that I get to be a part of. Help me to intentionally spend time with other believers and to encourage them in their faith in You! I love You. Amen.
