Becoming a Son That Pleases the FatherSample
STARTING OUT ON THE FATHER’S LOVE (1)
The reason people get themselves into a bad twist in their emotions in Christianity is that they don’t understand that unconditional love and conditional reward are two different phases in our walk with God.
God loves us equally, but He does not bless us equally. Some people are of the opinion that God is not fair, especially if they have witnessed someone who moved from the phase of unconditional love into the phase of conditional reward in his walk with God. We need to understand that God deals with justice, not just fairness. If God has given you His only begotten Son, why do you still doubt that He will give you a husband? Why do you doubt that He will give you a car? When you question the goodness of God to you, it shows that you don't understand anything about His love.
It is not the goal of Christianity for you to pursue the love of God or pray for God to love you. No! God loved us so much that He came down, became man, and willingly died like a criminal. He never committed any sin. All He did was for us. There is nothing we can ever need that can come close to what God already gave up for us.
Our text today tells us that only God has the right to bring a charge against us, but He chooses to justify us because He loves us so much. Christ is also interceding for us instead of condemning us, out of love for us.
PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for Your unconditional love towards me. Help me to understand Your love more and more as I progress in my Christian walk in Jesus’ name. Amen!
