Becoming a Son That Pleases the FatherSample

Becoming a Son That Pleases the Father

DAY 10 OF 30

EQUAL SONSHIP IN THE FATHER’S LOVE (2)

If a parent has five children and one of them is sick in the hospital, the hospitalisation of the sick child does not make him or her a lesser child than other children at home. If you are born again, you must settle it inside you that there is nothing in your life that can make you inferior to any other child of God!

That you don’t know the Bible like other believers does not mean you are an inferior child of God. Your knowledge of who you are in Christ is what will destroy every hold of the spirit of inferiority complex over your life. You are not inferior because of your gender, education, status, race, or colour. It must be settled inside your spirit that you are not an adopted child of God.

One day, my daughter had a squabble with her brother over what I did for him. My wife spoke a word of wisdom to my daughter and asked, “Why are you worried about what Daddy did for your brother? Why don’t you go and ask Daddy for your own?”

The biggest problem in the Church is when people come to God and pray, “God, do it for me because you did it for that other person.” God is not going to do something for you because of your friend or brother. He wants to do it for you because of you. It must be settled in your heart that your relationship with God has nothing to do with another person’s relationship with God. We are equal sons of God, but we have different levels of understanding about our relationship with God.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, give me a deeper understanding of my relationship status with my Father, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
