God’s process for developing our readiness is so providential. Even when we don’t think we’re ready, the qualities that He placed in us when He predestined us—before the beginning of time—are exactly what call and qualify us for our purpose.

We now know that our readiness, or calling and purpose from God, is not based on or maintained by the things we can see; they are established in the things we cannot see. As a result, our focus must remain on what is unseen.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18

The paradox in this scripture is how can you see what is unseen? It doesn’t make sense to suggest that you can see what cannot be seen. But God, in His omniscience, gives us this ability by opening our spiritual eyes through faith to the unseen and eternal. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of what cannot be seen.

As I write this, I’m sitting in my office and the ceiling fan is on. Although I know the fan is moving, I can’t see the air it’s generating. However, I can feel the effects and am cooler as a result. The fan is the source of the movement, and its movement creates an effect that I benefit from. I have evidence of what I cannot see.

Seeing the unseen means activating your faith. It means you are aware that God is the source, and you have faith in Him. God is moving, and each time God moves, He creates an effect. Even His words cannot return to Him void according to Isaiah 55:11.

Your purpose, the reason you’ve been readied, is secure in God. Your faith in God assures of you of things that you may not be able to see regarding your purpose. But as you continue to hope in God, He will continue to provide evidence you can see. You are, in effect, seeing the unseen in action.

You will reap the benefits of God’s movement in your life, and I stand in agreement with you that, by faith, you are a ready woman.

Today’s Affirmation

My spiritual eyes are open to the movement of God in my life. There is a flow and anointing I experience in God’s presence that assures me of His work and confirms my purpose. I am purposed, and I am confident in Christ. I know that God has spoken a blessed word over me that must come to pass, and my faith is strengthened in God. I am ready.
