Fear Not

Have you ever dreaded getting up in the morning because you knew all the things you needed to complete that day, or because of a confrontation that has been brewing for a while with a difficult person? We would do anything to avoid such a day! Yet, there is nothing we can do, but ‘face the music’ and plunge into the day, dreading the outcomes. ‘FEAR’ is False Evidence Appearing Real. We should choose faith over fear… why believe in fear when we know it’s not meant for us?
What if you went into each new day knowing that God Himself has gone before you? How would it change your attitude if you realized that God is prepared for everything? Take heart, once you put your trust in God, He actually goes ahead of you to prepare the way for you and then waits for you to join Him. He is there. He stays with you throughout that situation. He doesn’t leave. He doesn’t take a break. He is right by your side. That is why the Scripture says, Do not fear nor be dismayed (Deuteronomy 31:8).
When we are aware of His presence, power and strength in those moments, it makes a big difference! When that phone call comes to say that your loved one has passed away, He is there. When the doctor comes in to give you that harsh diagnosis, He is there. When you do not feel like you can take another breath, or another step, He is there. Lean on Him. Depend on Him. He will never fail you nor let you down. He is always there for you.

Lord, help me today, to know that You go before me, You prepare the way for me and all that You have in store for me is good. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
