Daily Prayers for My WifeNäide

THE MOMENT YOU SAID, “I DO”
Man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. GENESIS 2:24 ESV
Whether you’ve been married a day, a year, or for most of your life, the journey and seasons in the future are always blessed when they are bathed in prayer today. And sometimes the best place to start in prayer is with gratitude in remembering when your marriage began—at the moment you said, “I do.” It was then that you became united as one as Mr. and Mrs. In the beginning of time, after six days of creating—light and darkness, seas and earth, stars and galaxies, animals and man—God then created woman. He didn’t want man to be alone. He doesn’t want the two of you to be alone either. He is listening and ready to hear your prayers—for guidance and peace, strength and patience, and especially of gratefulness and love.
Father, thank You for blessing me with such a beautiful wife and the gift of marriage. You created her, and now I am blessed to spend the rest of my life with her. Help me to honor the vows I made on our wedding day. Help me to “hold fast” to her, no matter what we face today or in the seasons ahead. Show me ways to lift her up spiritually and emotionally so that she knows, without a doubt, just how much You and I both love her. IN JESUS’ NAME. AMEN.

About this Plan

Whether you’ve been married for five minutes or fifty years, one of the most loving things you can do to strengthen and protect your marriage is to pray. Your wife needs your prayer support to encourage and empower her to be the woman God created her to be and equip her to take on life's daily challenges. As you pray, you'll be inspired to express your love and care for her in new and meaningful ways.
