Through the Bible: 1 PeterNäide

Down to Earth, Heaven Bound
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9 (ESV)
The word ‘human’ means a spiritual being with an earthly (humus) body.
Under the old covenant, Israel was set apart as a priestly nation; the people have become a pivotal blessing to the world despite historical strife. In about 60AD when Emperor Nero began to persecute the Church, Peter wrote to encourage the believers. They are not only to live meekly and wisely, but now, being under the new covenant of Christ, they are chosen as a royal priesthood and a holy nation. They are given authority and full access to heaven, and they are to be an ordained blessing to the world.
Among all treasures on earth and in heaven, Jesus is the Treasure above all treasures, yet His walk on earth was very down to earth. He then set apart His disciples as living earthen jars to hold and distribute God’s Goodness and Power. One day from earth we come, one day to heaven we return.
Prayer
Praise You, Jesus, that there is a Man on the heavenly throne! Lead both Israel and the Church to embrace and live out our prophetic earthly mandates with Your brilliant Glory. Thank You, Jesus. Amen!
