Strengthen your faith and overcome the circumstancesSample
Sons of Israel, march!
Today’s Words: Then the Lord said to Moses: “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the sons of Israel to move on”. (Exodus 14:15)
The people of Israel, when they left Egypt in search of their freedom, were trapped at some point along the way. With no way to proceed, they found themselves facing the following scenario: on the one hand, the Egyptian army threatened to kill them and was getting closer and closer; on the other, the immensity of the Red Sea did not let them advance. What would come next?
Moses, as the leader of that people, went to speak to God and heard the following answer: “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to move forward”! But how? Enter the waters by faith.
Are you facing a situation that leaves you with no way out, no escape, no way to go, no hope? Even in the face of impossibilities, you must continue your journey by breaking the barriers in faith!
If God gave you a direction, take the first step. God will give you a solution, even if your human reasoning has not found a way for you to move forward, to march.
God will always work in partnership with us. We must cooperate to have Him accomplish the impossible in our lives. “Does God, then, need help?” Yes, but not help from our human arms, He needs the firmness of our faith and the willingness to do what He asks of us.
“Marching” doesn’t mean doing things on impulse. “Marching” means moving forward with our belief, without giving credit to discouragement and obstacles, without looking back, always going towards God’s promises.
The march presupposes a rhythm and a constancy, and this is how God expects us to behave when we have a goal. On the way, don’t waste time with complaints, questions, doubts or childish behavior.
If you march confidently in what God has assured you, you will see the impossible become possible and reach your promised land!
Prayer: God, I believe I’m going to see the impossible happen. I understand that I cannot stand still and perplexed in the face of adversity. I need to move forward, marching in faith to obey what the Lord has commanded me. I’m ready to overcome discouragement, complaints and fear. With you, I know I’m making progress towards my goal! In Jesus name. Amen.
About this Plan
We often fall into the error of just “wishing” for something to change and we think this is enough for God to act. Of course God knows us deeply and takes pleasure in seeing us fulfilled, but the way we relate to Him is only through faith. In this devotional, your faith will be strengthened through what the Bible promises, even if you are living difficult circumstances.
