Beyond Priceless: Who God Is When I Feel... Sample
When I Feel Rejected, God Is the LOVER OF MY SOUL
Rejection becomes a foothold when we believe we aren’t worthy of love. A foothold is any crack in the truth of who God is or how He sees you that causes you to open the door of your heart or mind to more lies. You may start to feel like something is missing or wrong with you. If that happens, you need to pause and immerse yourself in God’s truth about who He is and Whose you are!
Jesus met a woman who had felt rejected and unloved for 12 years! We don’t even know this woman’s name. She suffered from a bleeding illness, which according to the rules in her culture, made her and anything she touched “unclean.” Can you imagine not being able to touch people or have them touch you?
Then one day, Jesus passed by. The moment that woman reached out to Jesus, she was physically healed, but that’s not all. Her soul was healed too.
She tried to stay hidden, but Jesus stopped and spoke tenderly to her. He called her something she had not heard in a long time. He called her daughter. As soon as she reached out to Jesus, she was accepted. She became part of the family of God. He made her one of His own, the object of His affection.
Jesus saw beneath her outward uncleanness. He didn’t see an outcast; He saw a member of His family. He didn’t call her “reject.” He didn’t even call her “woman;” He called her “daughter,” a term of endearment.
You were made exactly the way you are for God’s glory. Everything good or bad that has happened to you is being repurposed to lead you closer to Jesus. All you have to do is reach out and ask Him to make you at peace in your body, mind, and soul. You can reach out to God through prayer right now.
Dear Lover of My Soul,
Thank You for smiling at me and delighting in me. Your love is so great that I can’t comprehend it. It was love that kept You on the cross. You paid the price so I could be priceless! Satan often lies to me and tells me I’m unworthy or that I’ve messed up way too much to be loved. Lord, I want to break free from that lie today. I believe Your love fights for me. I want to press into Your everlasting love today.
