Free For All: GalatiansSample
Galatians 1: Galatians is a small letter about a big issue. This was actually the single greatest debate of the early church: Are we saved by Jesus alone or by Jesus PLUS some kind of work we do? Paul’s position is clear: Jesus alone is sufficient to save. In fact, in this first chapter, Paul pulls out all the stops to fight for our full freedom in Christ.
Key verse: Galatians 1:6-7, “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.”
