Although good parents can become angry with their children, they will not usually remain mad because they love their children. The good news is that God doesn't stay angry either; He is full of compassion. The northern tribe of Israel rejected God, worshipped other gods, and committed despicable crimes. Yet, God still says He will marry Israel. Their idolatry is compared to adultery, yet God still calls them "His people." We are His people. Let's live up to that relationship.
