Rhett Walker Band - Come To The RiverMuestra

“For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me.” – Psalm 18:39
A while back I read this book called “The Shack”. There is a part in this book where this guy is headed to the shack. He is very scared about going, cause he does not know what he will find when he gets there. The unknown. But he has to go, he has to go to the shack and go inside. The book talks about him getting out of his truck in the snow covered woods and beginning to walk to the shack. He takes one step forward, then one step back, then one step forward, then another back. As I was reading this it occurred to me, he was scared half to death to do what he had no choice but to do. As scared as he was, he had to keep pressing on.
I have been there so many times, and so many times I would basically be walking around with my eyes closed, fingers crossed hoping it would work out right. I recall many times when God would call me to do something and I would double and triple check to make sure He really wanted me to, then scared to death do it. But the beauty of it is that we belong to Him. We are just vessels that He is using. Although we may be cracked, broken, chipped or shattered, He has chosen us to be vessels for Him. See, when you give up and live for Christ, it isn’t always going to be easy, it is going bring its challenges. Daily things are going to come your way to throw you off of your game. However, as the verse says, you are equipped with strength for the battle and victory is ours!
