7 Days to Victory Over Fear Muestra
Tell God About Everything
Daily Verse – “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7, NLT
It was a beautiful, breezy spring evening, and we gathered on the church lawn to talk about finding hope. There was wonderful music, food, a sweet sense of community, and a brief time of fellowship around God’s Word. As I took the stage to share with those moms, daughters, and grandmothers that night, I shared a few things that I thought might encourage you.
- Don’t worry about anything. Worry does not accomplish anything good.
- Pray about everything. Literally talk to God about all things, all the time.
- Be specific when you pray. Tell God what you want Him to do in your life. Also, when you pray in a detailed manner, you will be clearer about specific answers to prayer.
- Be thankful when you pray. Thank God for what He has done and what He is about to do.
- Lay all of your cares out before God, and then experience His peace. His peace is what guards our hearts and minds and gives us hope.
- The big question is: are you worrying or are you praying? It’s really difficult to do both!
Daily Declaration – I declare that I can trust God completely. He is faithful, and He will take care of me. Because of this truth, I will pray about everything. When I talk over every issue with God, I will experience His incredible peace.
Daily Action – Since we are talking about prayer today, it seems like a great time to pray. I want to invite you to try the ACTS method of prayer today: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. Start with praise. Move to confession. Take time to be grateful. Then, pray over the concerns of your heart. Perhaps journal your prayer.
Daily Prayer – Father, I want to become a person whose life is saturated in prayer and thankfulness. You are the One who takes care of me. Help me to trust You and talk to You as I never have before. Thank you for being a God who cares about everything happening in my life.
