Standing Firm

I went to church for the first time when I was three weeks old. I spent my whole life growing up at church. I loved Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. If I wasn't a student, I was a helper. I loved Bible drills and saying the Pledge to the Bible. "I will hide its words in my heart...." was my favorite line.

When God called me to write the devotional book, Pineapple Principle, one of my fears was that I didn't know the Bible well enough. I was like, "I am no Beth Moore, Bible scholar." Your mom will probably know who that is if you don't. But, those Bible drills that I loved to do, and would even practice at home by myself, helped me. I had way more scriptures in my heart and head than I was giving myself credit for. I am so thankful for the Full Armor of God, which is found in Ephesians, because around twelve, my world started turning upside down. It turns out I would need that foundation to help me. Being grounded in the Word allowed me to have the "power" to stand firm in my beliefs.
