148
1Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise Him in the heights!
2Praise Him, all His angels;
praise Him, all His hosts! # Ps 103:20–21
3Praise Him, sun and moon;
praise Him, all you stars of light!
4Praise Him, you heavens of heavens,
and you waters above the heavens. # Ge 1:7; 1Ki 8:27
5Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for He commanded and they were created. # Ge 1:6
6He has also established them forever and ever;
He has made a decree which shall not pass away. # Job 38:33; Jer 33:25
7Praise the Lord from the earth,
you great sea creatures, and all the depths; # Ge 1:21; Ps 74:13–14
8fire and hail, snow and clouds;
stormy wind, fulfilling His word; # Ps 147:15–18
9mountains and all hills; # Isa 44:23; 49:13
fruitful trees and all cedars;
10beasts and all cattle;
creeping things and flying fowl;
11kings of the earth and all peoples;
princes and all judges of the earth; # Ps 102:15
12both young men and maidens;
old men and children.
13Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for His name alone is exalted; # Ps 8:1
His glory is above the earth and heaven. # Ps 113:4
14He has exalted the horn for His people, # 1Sa 2:1; Ps 75:10
praise for all His saints,
for the Israelites, a people near to Him.
Praise the Lord!
