1Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord, O my soul! # Ps 103:1
2While I live I will praise the Lord; # Ps 63:4; 104:33
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
3Do not put your trust in princes,
nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. # Ps 118:8–9
4His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; # Ps 104:29; Ecc 12:7; 1Co 2:6
on that very day his plans perish.
5Blessed is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, # Ps 144:15
whose hope is in the Lord his God, # Ps 71:5
6who made heaven and earth,
the sea and all that is in them; # Rev 14:7
who keeps faith forever; # Ps 100:5
7who executes justice for the oppressed; # Ps 103:6
who gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets free the prisoners. # Ps 68:6
8The Lord opens the eyes of the blind; # Mt 9:30
the Lord raises up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. # Ps 11:7
9The Lord watches over the strangers;
He relieves the fatherless and widow, # Ps 68:5
but the way of the wicked He turns upside down. # Ps 147:6
10The Lord shall reign forever, # Ex 15:18; Ps 10:16
your God, O Zion, for all generations.
Praise the Lord!
