30 Little Things: The Book of GenesisMuestra

A Painful, yet Beautiful Process.
Joseph is without a doubt one of the most talked about characters in the whole Bible. His life provides such a great example for all of us in what it means to live in a close relationship with God and how unpredictable the way God works in our lives. Reflecting on Joseph's life, we can see how painful God's process can be sometimes. Joseph was thrown into a well and sold to slavery by his brothers. He was tempted by his boss, resisted temptation and still got thrown into jail. It doesn't exactly sound like the life of a king, does it? But throughout all those difficult times, God continuously blessed Joseph, simply because Joseph remained in God's presence and walked in a close relationship with God. Joseph went from being a son, a slave and a prisoner before becoming the second most powerful man in Egypt.
There will be times when we feel like our lives are at its lowest end. We get hurt by the people we love, relationships break apart, companies go bankrupt, and so on, and so on, and so on. There will be times when we just don't feel like living anymore. But would we lose our spirit when we know all the trials and changes we have to face are a part of God's process and God's plan? Remember, God makes everything work together for our good. His process can be painful, but it will definitely bring you to a beautiful ending.
