Kingdom LeadershipMuestra
Principle #1 "If you are going to be a Kingdom leader, you must remember to work as unto the Lord."
It’s easy to get caught up in titles and high positions, believing that your striving is for a company or person. It’s even easier to strive to please the higher-ups in hopes of getting a promotion or recognition. As a kingdom leader, our number one goal should be to work as unto the Lord. The Lord is a better manager, boss, and CEO than you could ever work for. He works with you to complete tasks and gives you instructions on how to do your work well. He won’t stonewall you; He will uplift you in your hard work and set the stage for even bigger things He wants to do in your life. I’ve found that work becomes more enjoyable when I work unto the Lord versus for a company because I know that nothing I am doing is in vain or being overlooked. God is taking note of my diligence, and it’s part of a bigger plan. When things don’t go my way, I tend to be less frustrated because I remember that working for the Lord, He has already gone ahead of me and made even the crooked places straight. It’s easier to get along with co-workers and other staff because you know who you are serving when you arrive to work. Keeping God at the forefront of all that you do helps you lead from a place of truth, love, and steadfastness.
It’s easy to become disgruntled when you are working for a company or person and your hard work goes unnoticed. God sees when management doesn’t. God can provide a promotion that goes beyond your imagination, and it may or may not be with your current company. The good thing about working for God is that you will always receive a reward from Him. He promises a sure reward, an inheritance for those who serve Him.
If you are going to be a kingdom leader, you must remember to work as unto the Lord.
