Real Hope: Discovering Hope in the Life of MosesMuestra
A Walk of Faith
When Moses’ parents decided to put their faith in God to look after their infant son, they embarked on the first step of a journey of faith.
Moses’ story is defined by tremendous encounters with God’s presence. He was a man anointed by God to fulfil God’s heart for His children to be free from captivity and be safe under His Lordship. Moses was divinely set apart from birth to lead God’s people back into a right relationship with God. And this calling was fulfilled as a result of God’s desire to meet with Moses and show up in his life in miraculous ways, but also as a result of Moses’ desire to trust and obey God – and walk by faith.
God guided Moses step by step to fulfil the mission He planned for him, and he continued to live a life of faith for the rest of his life. No, Moses wasn’t perfect, yet God still used him despite this. DL Moody said, ‘Moses spent his first forty years thinking he was somebody. He spent his second forty years learning he was a nobody. He spent his third forty years discovering what God can do with a nobody.’
God is in the business of using people who have failed. He uses every bit of our lives, and not just the good parts! As I recognise my own shortcomings in my own walk of faith, this gives me a great deal of hope. I pray the life of Moses anchors you further in hope as you journey on your walk of faith.

May this plan encourage you that God knows all, sees all, and is with you through it all.
