God is patient with our doubts
Gideon asked for multiple signs from God to confirm His calling. He wanted to be absolutely sure that it was truly God speaking to him. Instead of rebuking Gideon for his doubts, God patiently provided the signs Gideon requested.
This part of Gideon’s story shows us that God understands our humanity. He knows our fears and hesitations, and He meets us where we are. If you’ve ever doubted God’s plan for your life or hesitated to move forward, take heart. God doesn’t give up on us when we struggle to trust Him.
Are you in a season where you’re seeking confirmation from God? Be encouraged – He isn’t frustrated by your questions. In fact, He may use those moments to deepen your faith. God’s patience with Gideon is a reminder of His grace. He’s not looking for perfect faith; He’s looking for a willing heart. Bring your doubts to Him and allow Him to guide you through them. Remember, even the greatest heroes of faith had moments of doubt and needed reassurance from God.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your patience when I doubt. Help me to trust Your voice and take steps of faith, even when I feel uncertain. Strengthen my belief in Your promises. Amen.
