Step out in faith
When God called Gideon to deliver Israel, Gideon had plenty of excuses. He was from the weakest clan and felt unworthy of the task. But God’s response was simple: ‘Go in the strength you have.’ This is a powerful reminder that God doesn’t ask us to have it all figured out before we obey. He calls us to take the first step with what we already have, trusting that He will provide the rest. Gideon didn’t need to be the strongest or the bravest – he simply needed to be willing.
What is God calling you to step into today? Maybe it’s sharing your faith with someone, leading a ministry, or simply being a light in your workplace. Like Gideon, you might feel underqualified. But if God is sending you, He will equip you. God doesn’t ask for perfection; He asks for obedience. Take that first step in faith, even if it feels small. The strength you have, combined with God’s power, is more than enough to accomplish His purposes.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for calling me despite my weaknesses. Help me trust that You are enough, even when I feel like I’m not. Give me the courage to step out in faith, knowing that You go before me. Amen.

About this Plan

“You might feel inadequate, but God calls you ‘mighty.’ You might feel overlooked, but God says, ‘I am with you.’ Gideon’s story reminds us that it’s not about who we think we are, but about who God says we are.” (Gideon – Heidi Wysman). Be encouraged by this plan as you learn more about the God who calls and equips us to do His work!
