The Bible for Young Explorers: LeviticusSample

What is a burnt offering?
Every morning and every evening, priests offered sacrifices to God. Some animal sacrifices could also be eaten by the priests and the people for dinner. But with burnt offerings, the entire animal was given as worship to God – none of the meat was eaten. So, burnt offerings were expensive. They showed real devotion to God.
