DAY 6 OF 21

In life, we may sometimes feel like the odds are stacked against us—whether it’s juggling deadlines, family life, or work pressures. This almost feels like a normality in the ups and downs of the rhythm of life. However, Zechariah 4:6 reminds us that our successes don’t depend on our strength or abilities but on the power of the Holy Spirit.

This prophetic word comes to Zechariah at a time when the temple rebuilding had stopped, confusion around the city and Zerubabbel the leader appointed to complete this project needed encouragement. This is when Zechariah hears this, a reminder that tells the people, not by your strength or might, but enabled by my Spirit. This encouragement is a reminder that often when we are working tirelessly on things we believe the Lord had asked us to do and we’ve hit a wall or come up against an opposition or challenge, we can come back to the place of dependency on God, through whom all things are possible.

These encouragements were a huge source of strength for Zerubabbel then and for us now. No matter what the mission looks like for us today, we have hope in the person of Jesus because when our small efforts are joined by the power of the Holy Spirit, impossible things become possible.

Questions: Consider the unique mission field you are in today. Where do you need to see the power of the Holy Spirit at work?
What small steps to partner with Him can you take today?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for empowering me to fulfil my mission. Help me to rely on Your Spirit as I seek to share Your love with those around me. Give me the courage to be a witness, the heart to serve, and the wisdom to pray. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

Church & Students

We are in the grip of a slow awakening in the student world as we continue to hear story after story of students coming to know Jesus. This is a story that hasn’t just begun now, it's been unfolding across generations, prayers of those who have sown in tears that God would move powerfully in this nation and the next generation; we are standing on the answered prayers of those faithful intercessors.
