Divine Redemption - 7 Powerful Ways That God Redeems Your PastSample
God Does Not Charge Us With Sin
Imagine receiving a bill so large it’s impossible to pay. The weight of that debt is crushing, and no matter how hard you try, there’s no escape. But then, in a moment of grace, you receive notice that the entire debt has been cleared—completely paid off. This is what God has done for us through Jesus Christ. The word "count" in Psalm 32:2 is logizomai (λογίζομαι), meaning to reckon or charge to one's account. But in His infinite mercy, God no longer charges us with our sins. Instead, He takes the weight of our guilt and nails it to the cross.
This incredible exchange is available to everyone. If you haven’t yet accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, today is the day of salvation. The Bible says, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9 NKJV). It’s not about earning forgiveness or working for salvation. It’s a free gift of grace. Today, God is offering you complete freedom from the weight of your past, and He is ready to welcome you into His family.
Psalm 32:2 (KJV) “Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.”
The Hebrew word for "iniquity" here is avon (עָוֹן), which refers to both the sin and its guilt. God doesn’t just overlook your sin—He removes the guilt entirely, freeing you from the weight of the past.
Prayer of Salvation:
Father, thank You for the gift of Your forgiveness and grace. I acknowledge that I am a sinner, but today, I declare that I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I confess that He died for my sins and rose again, and through His sacrifice, my sins are forgiven. I accept Your grace, and I receive the gift of salvation. Help me to walk in the freedom You’ve provided, knowing that I am no longer condemned but set free. Thank You, Lord, for the assurance of my salvation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
