Holy SpiritSample
How can we ever comprehend?
I cannot do the Holy Spirit justice on just one page. Three in One, and One in Three. Eternally in community with the Father and the Son. How do I summarise the One who raised Jesus from the dead? The One whom Jesus sent to us after He ascended to heaven? The One within me who knows me better than I know myself? The One who knows the number of hairs on my head? The One who convicts me when I’ve made a dumb decision?
How do I reconcile that the One within me delights in meeting Himself in the words of the Bible?
How can I ever comprehend the One who rejoices within me as I worship the Trinity? The One who counsels me when I’m feeling lost, desperate, unworthy? The One who lifts my spirit and my eyes when I’m becoming too self-centered or focused on things of this world? The One who shows me that there is a better way? The One who reminds me that I was created for community with others and who gives me the words when I don’t know what to say? The One who brings the Bible to life and teaches me daily more about Him?
I may have more questions than answers, but the beauty of the Holy Spirit is that He does all things for our good and for His glory. We don’t need to understand, but we do need to be grateful. Thank you, Father, for your Spirit’s love for us, and for writing your Word on our hearts.
