How you handle your heart during the masculine journey regarding the beauty is crucial. It’s not the absolute test of a man, but it is absolutely a proving ground for a man. How we offer our masculinity and how we accept her beauty is critical.

First off, she is not your report card! You must not seek your ultimate validation from her. That validation of your masculinity is to come from God and God alone.

The reason being… if you ever give your heart over to the beauty to validate your masculinity, then you have also given her the power and authority to invalidate your masculinity. All men have that same question deep down in our souls, “Do I have what it takes?” That question was meant to be answered by a father, another man, and by God. Never by Eve. If you allow her to answer your core question, then she can revoke it and leave you as a shell of a man.

Don’t get me wrong, I eat it up when my wife, even after 22 years of marriage, she gives me that sexy wink and smile. I love hearing her tell me that she loves me and respects me. I enjoy her validation immensely and I thank God for it, but I don’t require it. If she stopped telling me those things, what would I do? Would I seek it out from other women? Would I seek it out from a bottle? Would I seek it out from work or money? Or would I trust God that I’m His son, made in His image and called according to His purpose?
