The Gospel of MarkSample

Mark 12 begins with a few parables and continues throughout the chapter with seemingly complicated questions and speculation coming from the religious leaders. Jesus answers each of these questions in a way that edifies the crowd and blesses those who believe. We see the prideful get offended and the soft heart convicted, encouraged, and led by Jesus’s teachings. I once heard a parable most of the time is not meant to be understood but an invitation to come sit at the feet of the teacher to continue to learn, love, and grow in relation. Jesus desires our heart.
