It's Giving...Idol.Sample
DAY 5: MONEY.
As believers, we should not be idolizing money. We should be living generous lives that reflect our dependence on God for everything we have.
Tithing (paying the first 10% of your income to your local church) serves as a springboard for living generously. It's a practical approach to showing that you prioritize God in your life.
When you develop the practice of living with an open hand, generosity becomes more than just a thing you do; it becomes who you are. You start to idolize money less when you realize that you wouldn’t have any of it without the grace of God, whether you work to earn it or not.
Homework:
Be generous. Spend at least one hour of your time this week serving others. You can volunteer your time at church, clean out your closet and donate clothes to a homeless shelter, buy a friend a cup of coffee or treat them to lunch, or give money (privately) to someone in need.

About this Plan
Idolatry isn’t always “in your face.” It’s actually a very subtle thing, and we’re ALL guilty. In this 10-day plan, let's define idolatry, identify idols in our own lives, and get helpful tips on how to avoid "the drift" toward idolatry, known and unknown. This plan will inspire and reveal truth about ways we allow people, places, things, and even world ideologies to take God's role in our lives.
