Concern About Justice For The Poor
The righteous man is concerned about justice for the oppressed and the poor. The righteous man involves himself in causes that affect the welfare of the oppressed and the poor because he recognises the sacredness of life, that all human beings are created in the image of God. The righteous man is willing to risk himself in confronting injustice.
Prayer: Holy God, give me a heart of compassion for the oppressed and the poor. Help me to be aware and sensitive to the plight of the oppressed and to be concerned for the poor. Show me how to use my life to help them. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
