This proverb highlights the importance of righteous versus wicked leadership because of its affect on the citizens. Righteous rulers who serve their subjects and do not abuse their power bring joy to their people. Wicked and corrupt rulers who abuse their power to serve themselves bring misery to their people.
Prayer: Lord, we pray you will give those leaders in government a desire to promote justice and lead in honesty, integrity, and fairness. Amen.
