Blessed Those Who Are Always In God's Presence
Everyone loves to prosper. Most people define prosperity as a means of doing things successfully by making a lots of money. What the Psalmist and Jeremiah define as prosperity is described as a blessed man who is in God's grace and presence. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit (Jeremiah 17:7). If a man is always living in God's presence, peace and protection, he definitely is so blessed a man. Nothing is better than this. God is his shield and his reward. What kind of prosperity do you want?
Prayer: My Father and my God, help me to love, meditate and live out your words. Help me in those moments when something happens me, that I can trust in you and not fear the heat that comes. In Jesus' name, Amen.
