Finding True PeaceSample

Where is my bubbling brook?
Online, you can find videos of meadows or forests with the sounds of chirping birds and the soft trickle of a running stream. I discovered these videos during the pandemic, when getting out wasn’t much of an option.
I would put on my headphones and sip a cup of tea while immersed in these sounds of nature. I still do it today even though I can get out now. It brings me so much peace. It also gives me a new appreciation for this famous Psalm.
God created his world to bring us joy, like a rolling green meadow or a bubbling brook. It’s one of the ways he sings peace to us.
Act
Find one of these videos or go out into nature near a peaceful stream. Just enjoy this gift of peace from God.
Pray
God, I’m thankful you know we need places of peace in this world. Please show me where to find peace from your creation. Amen.

About this Plan

If there is one thing this world never offers us, it’s lasting peace. The peace you need, the kind that’s lasting and deep and eternal, is only available by believing in Jesus who died on the cross to bring us close to God. In him you'll find true, lasting, perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).
