Bigger Than Me- Teach Your Child How to Deal With Challenges and Bullying

DAY 4 OF 4

Let God Work!

Step Three: Help your child identify when it's time to let God be in control!

We are discussing how to help our children identify their challenges, and then using David and Goliath as an example of how to deal with those challenges. To put it simply: our children must have faith that the Lord will handle it.

When faced with a challenge, it can be hard to feel like we are doing enough. We tend to focus on what we can do ourselves to resolve the challenge. But in the case of David and Goliath, it's important to remember that David used faith as a weapon and only picked up a simple rock to bring down the giant.

This is a good lesson for our children. When they are faced with a big challenge they must mentally pick up a rock and be ready to throw it. That is the physical representation of their faith. They should know that the rest of the fight needs to be surrendered to the Lord. Once our children take this step, they can stop worrying about whether or not they are doing enough and let God do the rest.

It's also essential for our children to understand the importance of doing less so that God can do more. Letting go and trusting that He will guide us can be difficult. It takes courage and faith on their part. Acknowledging this helps our children to realize that they do not need to bear the burden alone—God will always be there with them.

By understanding this key lesson from David and Goliath, our children can conquer their challenges while still trusting in the Lord. Through his guidance, they will be able to find peace and assurance that no matter what challenge lies ahead, God will be there. It is a simple yet powerful lesson that our children need to learn if they want to find success.

I hope you’ve found this information helpful! As always, if you have any questions or need additional guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for joining us and have a blessed day.
