Bigger Than Me- Teach Your Child How to Deal With Challenges and Bullying

DAY 1 OF 4

Bigger Than Me!

For generations, we have been familiar with the story of David and Goliath, and how David overcame the giant with faith in God. As parents, we want to see our children equipped and successful in conquering any obstacles they may face. So how can we help them?

One way to equip our children is to understand the story of David and Goliath and the principles at work behind the scenes. In the story, David was able to overcome Goliath by understanding God's power and trusting in his ability in spite of what he saw. This teaches us to look at our own surroundings, not from a worldly perspective, but from a spiritual one.

We must guide our children in understanding that God has given them a special gift: courage. By believing in their hearts and trusting in God’s power, our children can face even the most daunting challenges. We can help our children by teaching them to focus on developing their faith and not relying solely on their own strength.

In addition to developing faith, we can equip our children with wisdom. It is through honing their understanding of right and wrong that our children can make good choices. When they know their God-given purpose and the path they should take, they will be better prepared to face obstacles that come their way.

Finally, we can empower our children by supporting them with our prayers. Praying for wisdom, courage and faith will give our children extra strength as they battle their giants. We must always remind them that God is in control and will never forsake them.

The story of David and Goliath is a powerful reminder of the importance of equipping our children with faith, wisdom, and courage. By teaching and encouraging them to take these important spiritual steps, our children will be better prepared for any challenges that lie ahead.

Step One: Help your child identify their Goliath.

Step Two: Help your child create a game plan to fight back.

Step Three: Help your child identify when it's time to let God take over.
