Precious Moments That Count For Eternity

DAY 286 OF 366

God’s Perfect Will for His Children

The apostle John wrote this epistle around 90 AD, when he was well advanced in years. He was a disciple of the Lord Jesus, and described himself as the disciple whom Jesus loved. He knew the will of Jesus for His people. John had witnessed Jesus’ work and healing of all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). Here, he encourages Gaius, a brother in the Lord, wishing him success in all things, and good health.
Do you sometimes doubt God’s will for your life or has anyone told you that it is not always God’s will to prosper or heal you? Would you rather believe someone’s account of their experience which can change, or the Word of God which is firm forever?
Beloved, know without any doubt, that God wants you well, prosperous and successful in life. Jesus paid a costly price with His life, not for us to live in ignorance. Paul tells us in Romans 5:17, that through Jesus’ death, we who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life. When you make Jesus your Lord and Savior, not only are you forgiven and assured of eternal life, but you have access to and must walk in victory.
A divine exchange took place at the cross:
Jesus was punished that we might be forgiven.
Jesus was wounded that we might be healed.
Jesus was made sin that we might be made righteous.
Jesus became poor that we might become rich.
Jesus was rejected that we might be accepted.
Jesus was made a curse that we might receive the blessing.
As we believe the full gospel, we will experience divine provision, health, protection, favor, wisdom and much more.

Declaration
It is God’s will for me to prosper and be in good health even as my soul prospers.
