Not Just Mere Talk

Jesus Christ left heaven and came to this earth to save mankind. He went first to His own people, the Jews, to show them that He was the Messiah, the Savior of the world. He preached the good news to many and demonstrated the power of God through signs, wonders and miracles, so that people would believe that He was indeed the Messiah.
There was a man named Nicodemus, a teacher of the Jewish law, who came to Jesus by night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” (John 3:2) Jesus had gotten his attention and belief through demonstrating God’s power here on earth. Salvation had come to Nicodemus. Similarly, Jesus said, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:17,18) Jesus has asked us to share the Gospel with all whom we come across. He has equipped us with His Spirit and His power, to show that He indeed is the Messiah.
A couple who was childless for 12 years came to my wife and me for prayer. We shared the good news of salvation with them and they believed in Jesus. We also prayed for a child for them. The wife called us three weeks later saying she had conceived.
Are you a believer in Jesus Christ? Are you sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others? Are you demonstrating God’s power as you pray for people? God is with you. Go in His name.

Prayer
I believe in You, Lord Jesus Christ. Please take away all fear as I share the good news with others and pray for them. I know You will prove Yourself to people by demonstrating Your love and power to heal them and bless them. Amen.
