Precious Moments That Count For EternitySample
He Seeks You
The Samaritan woman was a woman with a shady past, and shunned by everyone. Yet she was a real person, just like you and me. Her problems and pain, like ours, were real. And then she met Jesus! Jesus was travelling from Judea to Galilee, and He had to go through Samaria on the way (John 4:4 NLT). Note the words used here: ‘Had to’. Words that speak not just of necessity, but also of urgency. Jesus intentionally made a divine appointment with the woman at the well, though she knew nothing about it. This lonely woman had a life-transforming conversation with Jesus at the well. Remember, it wasn’t she who wanted Jesus to talk to her. It was the Savior who pursued her, one who was shunned by others.
Do you know that He still does that today? Do you have a past you are ashamed of? Are you struggling to overcome something that you know is destroying you? Do you feel alone and that no one understands the pain you are going through? I want you to know that Jesus hasn’t changed. As He was for the Samaritan woman, the loving Savior is still your very present help in your time of need (Psalm 46:1). He knows the suffering, shame and struggles you are going through right now, even if they are a consequence of bad life choices and mistakes of your own doing. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will restore and rescue you. I believe, right now, Jesus is reaching out to you with His love, grace, and forgiveness. Taste and see that our Lord is good!
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I thank You that despite knowing every detail of my life, my past mistakes and my present struggles, You still love me and care for me. I believe You are reaching out to me right now. I receive Your love, Your grace, and Your forgiveness. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
