Day 1 - Co-Laboring with God

Have you been working a lot lately but see no fruit of it? Have you been wondering, inspite of going to church everyday, reading my bible everyday, praying everyday, why don’t I see God move?

Could it be possible that you got caught up in the act of doing things for God and lost the sight of what He is doing in your life and in your relationship with Him?

In the story of Mary and Martha, Martha gets caught up with making sure she was being a good host for Jesus.

We need to understand that the foundation of the new covenant is relationship.

Jesus desires relationship over work. What we “do” must always overflow from the place of our relationship with God. When we begin to live our lives “with Him” rather than for Him, we will manifest His kingdom in every area of our life. Jesus explains this in John 15, we need to move from the place of being servants to becoming His friends.

Servanthood that develops from a friendship or a relationship is more authentic than servanthood that is developed to gain a relationship.

Servants work for rewards but friends work because they love and relate to each other.The most powerful thing about the new covenant is that now we are all children of God, we are raised and seated in heavenly places with Christ(Eph.- 2:6) we were buried with Christ and now raised to glory(Rom.- 6:4).

Luke 1:37 says, “Nothing is impossible with God.” Interestingly it doesn’t say “to God” or “for God,” although we do know that there is nothing impossible for God.

The word “with” there brings a complete new dimension, that God chooses to do things “with” us. When we co-labor with God, we will see so much more fruit in everything we do.

We become light in the darkest of places.

- Repent from self righteousness and believing that you can do _______(eg: Solve this problem) by yourself.

- Ask God to show you areas in your life that you should let Him into and you must let go of control.
