Jesus Loves Me: Experiencing God’s Heart for Kids Sample
The Richest Inheritance
Wisdom, wealth, and inheritance are all themes of this Proverb. What do these topics have to do with one another? The righteous are reminded that they can leave an inheritance to their children and grandchildren. Their reward is meant to be shared, not hoarded. In contrast, the sinner loses his wealth and is left with nothing to pass along to his children.
This Proverb is about a lot more than money though! We are called to transfer wisdom from one generation to another. Those who only leave wealth to the next generation are missing a huge opportunity to impact the generations that follow them.
How could the lives of children be different if they realize that their parents and grandparents are transferring godly wisdom and the salvation God has given? Further, what if children understand that they are called to keep that transfer going and give it as an inheritance to their children and grandchildren as well?
We are called to provide both materially and spiritually for our children. What are you passing on as an inheritance to your children and grandchildren or the children in your sphere of influence? Be intentional about passing along godly wisdom. For it will profit them for eternity! That’s the best form of inheritance!

About this Plan
Jesus loves children! In the Bible, Jesus took kids in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. We should follow his example by showing the children in our lives how valuable they are in God’s eyes. Join us on this nine-day journey to see how God views children with eyes of compassion.
