God sees us as we really are. He cares about what is in our hearts. As Eddie said, if there is hurt in your heart, it’s easy as a hurt person to hurt other people. So, we should care for our wounds and ask God for healing. Also, we are instructed to guard our hearts and mindfully protect the hearts of those around us, especially our family.

Today, spend a little extra time considering the application points.

Application Points:

• Spend time reflecting on your heart. Ask for God to heal the hurts that you may be carrying inside.
• Pray for God to soften your heart. Ask Him to help you see them with His eyes, revealing to you the beauty of His creation, including your family members and you!
• Consider areas of your life where you are only looking at the outward appearance. Pray for God to reveal the heart of your family members and circumstances. Pray for His guidance in addressing any underlying issues.
