What kind of sandwich do you like best? Cheese and pickle, peanut butter, banana and maple syrup, tuna mayo or something else?

Jesus had fed all the people with just five loaves and two fish. Eventually everyone was full up. They couldn’t eat another crumb. But there was still lots of food left over. Jesus asked his friends to pick up the leftover pieces. Look at verse 13 to see how many baskets they filled.

Get counting!

• How many silver coins would be needed to buy bread for everyone?
• How many loaves did the boy have?
• And how many fish?
• How many men sat down?
• How many baskets of leftovers were there?
• And if half the men brought a wife and one child, how many people would there have been in total?

The little boy offered his food to Jesus. What could you do for Jesus? It doesn’t have to be anything big or difficult.

Pray: “Thank you, Jesus, that you can use children. Please show me what I can do for you.”
