DAY 6 OF 17

Unity of the Spirit

Hundreds of church denominations and missions organisations exist but, in a group-based society, breaking down barriers and living in the unity of the Holy Spirit is a constant challenge.

Let's agree for Japanese believers to be brought into the unity of the Holy Spirit.

WORSHIP - The Lord our God is the One and Only God!

Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (NASB1995)

Lord, we worship You as One. You - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - are in complete and perfect unity.

DECLARE - God’s blessing is on those who dwell together in unity.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious oil [of consecration] poured on the head, Coming down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron, coming down upon the edge of his [priestly] robes [consecrating the whole body].

It is like the dew of [Mount] Hermon coming down on the hills of Zion; For there the Lord has commanded the blessing: life forevermore. Psalm 133 (AMP)

Father, we declare Your heart and desire to bless those in unity.

PRAY - May believers glorify God with one heart and one mouth through unity of the Spirit.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6 (NIV)

Father, You give endurance and encouragement to Your children. Please give Your people in Japan Your Spirit of unity as they follow Christ so that with one heart and mouth they may glorify You.

About this Plan

PRAY4JAPAN - 17 Day Prayer Guide for Japan

Japan is the world’s second largest unreached people group even after decades of dedicated evangelism and church presence. In this highly sophisticated society most Japanese see Christianity as nice but irrelevant. Church attendance hovers around 0.3%. Let’s agree with the Word of God as we worship, declare and pray for breakthrough in this beautiful nation.
