The Heart Attitudes: Part 6Sample

The Heart Attitudes: Part 6

DAY 3 OF 5

Heart Attitude #5 – Participate in the Ministry

Ephesians 4:11-12 “And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,”

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are all His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.”

Knowing that God expects us to be involved in the work of the ministry, we can now look at how God has prepared works for each of us to do.

God has not redeemed us so that we can sit and soak up knowledge about Him. He has prepared good works for us to do. God has a plan for your life! He has always known what He had laid out for you to accomplish for the kingdom.

1 Corinthians 12 is one passage that deals with spiritual gifts. I encourage you to study the spiritual gifts either on this app or through other books and resources. It is crucial that you discover your spiritual gifts because the Lord has given them to you for the good of the entire body of Christ. When you serve out of your giftedness, service becomes a genuine joy rather than a task. Someone has said it feels like you are made for this purpose.

All our good works of service bring glory to the Father. When you have a moment, read 1 Peter 4:10-11. All that we have been given has been given to us so that we might use it to point people to God. Our good works should not be used to further our own agenda or renown. Make sure to give praise to the Father for any recognition of the good works that you do because you realize that we are only doing the works that God has prepared in advance for us to do!
