#Goals - Part 1 - Se StudentsSample
Have you ever fought with a sibling or a parent so badly that you just wished they were gone? Those moments are usually fleeting, but they are not as uncommon as you might think. Joseph was the youngest of Jacob’s 12 sons (until Benjamin was born much later) He was also the favorite because his mother was Rachel, whom Jacob loved the most. Joseph’s brothers hated him so much they thought about killing him, but ended up selling him into slavery and faking his death. Seriously, if you thought your family had issues, all you need to do is look at this madness.
Joseph’s story ends happily, but there were so many struggles and trials along the way. After being sold to Potiphar in Egypt, he was accused of rape and thrown in prison. God gave Joseph the ability to interpret dreams, which came in handy when Pharaoh had a dream about impending famine that would strike the land. God moved and worked all throughout Joseph’s life to place him exactly there for this purpose and His work was not finished. Some of the biggest moments in the Old Testament are still to come.
