Innovating in an Isolated WorldSample
DAY 6 - God Can Use Your First Step
God may give us an overarching picture of where we should be in life, but as for the details to get to that picture, He will lead us one step at a time. This 'one step at a time journey' is one that involves faith and obedience to following His direction.
It's interesting that the voice described in Isaiah 30 is behind us and not ahead of us. It reiterates the idea that we have to take a step of faith, not necessarily knowing where we are going. But as we take that step, into something unknown, we need to listen carefully to the voice behind us saying, "keep going, this is the way".
We ultimately need to trust that if we have the right heart, God will pick us up and put us where we need to be. As we go, He will show us.
Ephesians 3:20 reminds us to keep dreaming because we serve a God who can do immeasurably more than what we could ask or imagine.
We can't get so swept up in reaching the end destination that we forget each step in the journey. Life is a process. We need to take one step at a time.
God wants to bless us. He has so much planned for us. But the first step belongs to us.
Questions:
(1) Does the idea of taking a step of faith scare you? Why/ why not?
(2) Faith is taking a step. What does ‘taking a step’ look like for you?
(3) What are your goals? How can you begin taking a step toward them?
About this Plan
