Love God Greatly: Empowered

DAY 31 OF 40

When God does a great work in the world, His people rejoice. When we hear of the incredible ways God is working in foreign countries, or against oppression, poverty, and injustice, we rejoice. When a friend or neighbor tells us about the way God provided a job when they were unemployed, we rejoice with them. When we hear of God changing the hearts of those who were far from Him, we worship Him. When we learn of the ways God is pursuing the hearts of young people or of the many people who have placed their faith in Christ, we praise Him. ⁣

The faithfulness of God leads us to praise. No matter how God has shown His faithfulness, as His people it should always lead us to rejoice and worship Him. When Paul shared all God had done with the believers in Jerusalem, they were overjoyed. They learned much from hearing about God’s faithfulness around the world. ⁣

When we take time to learn of the ways God was faithful to others, our faith increases. God’s goodness is evident where ever we look. We can rejoice with our friends and neighbors and brothers and sisters in Christ when we hear of God’s faithfulness, regardless of our circumstances. He has been faithful in the past, and He will be faithful in the future. Rejoice in His faithfulness and His goodness today.⁣

Lord God, I praise You for Your faithfulness. You were faithful to Paul and the early church as You spread the gospel around the world. You have been faithful to me, to my friends and family, to my community, and to my nation. Open my eyes to see Your faithfulness today. Let me rejoice and praise You when I learn of Your great faithfulness. ⁣

About this Plan

Love God Greatly: Empowered

Empowered: Yesterday and Today is a deep study of the book of Acts. As we study the early church and the spread of the gospel we hope to find encouragement and strength to continue spreading the message of the gospel in our spheres of influence. God empowered the early church to share the gospel every single day, and He does the same for us, even now.
